Blockchain protocol for crypto exchange Uniswap is launching its own NFT aggregator as the market of digital collectibles is experiencing a downfall.
The new platform is based on Genie — which was acquired by Uniswap Labs in June this year — and includes listings from all NFT-marketplaces, including OpenSea, X2Y2, Sudoswap and LooksRare, Uniswap Labs said in a tweet thread. As part of the launch, Uniswap will also airdrop $5 million in USDC for those users, who completed at least one transaction on Genie before April 15, 2022.
According to a blog post, those users, who've made at least one transaction on Genie are eligible to get $500 in USDC. Holder of the Genie:Genesis NFT can get as much as $1,000 in USDC.
Users are eligible for both tiers and can claim their airdrop in USDC for the next 12 months. Uniswap will also cover fees for the first 22,000 wallets that purchase an NFT during this promotional, which will last until December 14, 2022. The platform will cover all transaction costs if a user spends 0.01 ETH or less on gas.
